The Tie That Binds

The Tie That Binds - Kent Haruf Continuing with some of the characters of [book: Plainsong], Eventide seemed to me to be a bit gloomier, but Kent Haruf is always careful to provide each of the interconnected families with glints of hope that flash like gold in an otherwise bleak Colorado landscape. I especially enjoy Haruf’s appreciation of two things: the hard work of cattle ranching (about which I’ve only read) and the importance of children. A beautiful if sad book, well worth reading.
