American Gods: A Novel

American Gods - Neil Gaiman A fun, wild adventure involving the lives of gods that few people, if any, believe in. What I enjoyed most about Gaiman’s style here is how he hints at which gods he’s talking about, only sometimes giving you their names outright. By not fully telling you, you’re allowed to imagine a kind of reverse life for them — wondering what kind of people, in what kind of time, might have created such a figurehead. Books like this one are so easy to enjoy because they’ve so amazingly imaginative, without being completely other-worldly — pick it up if you’ve been reluctant about doing so before.
